The St.Andrews Botanic Gardens provide a beautiful setting for an afternoon stroll, a day of exploring or a family picnic. This Sunday, 22nd June, the Gardens are holding an Open Day. Entry is free and there will be a variety of activities, stalls and music. The event runs from 11 – 4pm and everyone is welcome, with a strong focus on family fun.
In celebration of this years’ Commonwealth Games, the Queens Baton is making it’s way across Scotland. It will reach St.Andrews on June 26th and a variety of events and activities will mark it’s arrival. Be prepared for some outdoor sporting entertainment! Click here for further information.
Ending June with a bang, the East Neuk Festival is a ten day celebration running from the 27th June to 6th July. This imaginative and much loved festival celebrates music and literature, across a series of beautiful locations within the East Neuk. This year look out for art events, film and exhibitions as the festival continues to expand. We recommend booking tickets for the events in advance, before they all get snapped up!
And finally, the annual Highland Games in St.Andrews is a perfect way to round off July. The games, held at St.Andrews Station Park, are filled with entertainment, enjoyment and a test of strength and endurance. There’s everything from tug-of-war to highland dancing and there’s always something for everyone in the family. Further information on the Highland Games line up can be found here.
