Enjoy a Great day out at the local Park!
To the delight of many St Andrews residents and holiday makers, Craigtoun Country Park has opened this summer with a new vigour and a great range of activities and events. Craigtoun has recently faced a worrying time, with a real threat of closure. It became increasingly likely that this much loved local space was to be forever lost. However, as a result of the hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers, the park is open this year as colourful and fun-filled as ever. The Friends of Craigtoun, have worked tirelessly to keep the park open to the public and all of the traditional favourite activities are in full swing: Including the rowing boats and pedalos, the Craigtoun train and the crazy golf. This year Puffin’ Billy – a 1955 Ferguson tractor complete with two trailers – is also chuffing around the park filled with visitors! Other activities include crazy golf, a bouncy castle and a putting green as well as a great little cafe, perfect for an ice cream stop or a spot of lunch!
Entry to the park is free and visitors are welcomed to come and enjoy the gardens, landscaping and relaxed atmosphere of a treasured local amenity! Tickets for the rides can be purchased individually or as a day pass and/ or family pass. Anyone looking for more information, or if you would like to help support the park, please don’t hesitate to contact The Friends of Craigtoun here.
