Students: Please use the free waste collection that has been set up by the University this year. Please read the information below and try and recycle as much as you can this year.
From the University of St Andrews:
At this busy time many valuable items do not get reused or recycled because students simply run out of time and don’t know where to take their items. Sadly, at the end of term every year the University collects several refuse lorries and skips full of items that could have been reused.
In a bid to assist, the University have set up donation points at all our Halls of Residence to collect items for local charitieshttp://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/
Items that are not suitable for reuse i.e broken or damaged can also be recycled in the General Waste skips conveniently located around campus. We are also working in conjunction with Fife Council to provide a dedicated refuse lorry to collect general waste from various sites around the town on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June. Please see this map for locations of the skips on campus and the Fife Council pick up points. End of Term Waste Collections (PDF, 1,279 KB). These collections and skips are FREE for students.
